The first cocktails were already drunk in around 1800 and, what’s more, often early in the morning. In those days they were associated with a certain degree of depravity and gave a “bad-boy” image. Thankfully, those times are long gone and and these delicious mixed drinks have since come along way. Virgin cocktails are now also a permanent feature on every bar menu… With the Bionade cocktails there’s no reason not to start first thing in the morning. Take a look at our selection of cocktail recipes. Place 2 tsp currant jelly and half a tsp icing sugar into a highball glass, add some Bionade Blackcurrant-Rosemary and stir well. Add crushed ice and top up with Bionade Blackcurrant-Rosenary.   • 2 tsp icing sugar

Add raspberries, 5 basil leaves and icing sugar to a long-drink glass. Carefully press using a muddler. Fill glass with crushed ice and top up with Bionade Raspberry-Plum while carefully stirring. Bionade – Refreshingly different

Place raspberries in a highball glass on top of crushed ice. Add 1 bar spoon of icing sugar and fill with Bionade Raspberry-Plum. Top off with some freshly ground black pepper, stir and add a large slice of cucumber. Bionade – Refreshingly different

  • 2 tsp granulated sugar
  • Fresh mint
  • Crushed ice

Add strawberries, granulated sugar and 2 sprigs of fresh mint into a long-drink glass and carefully press using a muddler. Add some crushed ice and top up with Bionade Elderberry while carefully stirring.

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • Bionade Elderberry
Cut the lime into eighths, add to the glass with the brown sugar and press with a muddler. Add crushed ice and fill up with Bionade Elderberry. Stir, done. Bionade – Refreshingly different

  • 1 orange
  • 2 tsp brown cane sugar
  • Crushed ice

Peel fresh ginger and add 4 to 5 slivers into a long-drink glass. Add 4 eighths of the orange and 2 teaspoons of brown cane sugar and carefully press using a muddler. Fill glass with crushed ice and top up with Bionade Ginger-Orange while stirring. Bionade – Refreshingly different

  • 50 ml peach nectar
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 tsp honey
  • Fresh rosemary
  • Ice cubes

Mix peach nectar with 10 ml lemon juice, honey and 1 sprig of rosemary in a long-drink glass until honey is dissolved. Add ice cubes and top up with Bionade Herbs. Dust cocktail with freshly ground pepper. Bionade – Refreshingly different

  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 sprigs fresh mint

Add mint and sugar to a glass. Squeeze over the lime and add to the glass. Fill glass with crushed ice and pour over Bionade Herbs, stir well, garnish with a sprig of mint, done. Bionade – Refreshingly different

  • 20–30 ml cane sugar syrup
  • 1 lime
  • Crushed ice
  • Bionade Lychee
Peel and dice fresh mango and purée it in the blender with 20 to 30 ml cane sugar syrup and some freshly squeezed lime juice. Pour 50 ml into a long-drink glass with crushed ice and top up with Bionade Lychee while stirring carefully. Bionade – Refreshingly different

  • 10 ml lemon juice
  • 10 ml mango syrup

  • 50 ml cloudy apple juice
  • 1 tsp apricot jam
  • Cinnamon

Mix cloudy apple juice with a pinch of cinnamon and apricot jam in a long-drink glass until the jam is slightly dissolved. Add ice cubes to the glass and top up with Bionade Garden Fruits. Bionade – Refreshingly different

  • a little honey

Froth up 1 tbsp apple compote with a little honey and a shot of Bionade Garden Fruits in the blender and pour into a highball glass with crushed ice. Carefully fill up with Bionade Garden Fruits, briefly stir, done! Bionade – Refreshingly different

  • 1 tsp honey

Purée honeydew melon in a blender with 1 teaspoon of honey and 2 teaspoons of lemon juice. Pour 50 ml into a wine glass and top up with ice-cold Bionade Lemon-Bergamot. Bionade – Refreshingly different

  • 1 tbsp organic sugar
